Braided Egg Bread : page 454

I am not an experienced bread-baker, but this recipe was very easy for me! It has such a stunning appearance and seemed intimidating, but it is deceptively simple. I used bread flour instead of all-purpose flour and forgot about covering it with foil towards the end, but it all turned out wonderfully anyway! I'm so glad that the recipe shows the correct way to braid bread as well because I would have just started at one end had I not known to begin in the middle. This seems like it will be a common go-to bread recipe in our home!

Soft Onion Breadsticks : page 463

This is the first time I'd attempted to bake breadsticks and this was a pretty good recipe. I loved the onion dough - very delicious! I followed the recipe to a T but this did not exactly come out of the oven soft. They were not burnt, but were most like Crunch Onion Breadsticks. They were still tasty, but not as soft and chewy as I had hoped for. I made sesame seed breadsticks, poppy seed breadsticks, a mix of poppy and sesame seed, as well as garlic parmesan breadticks. The garlic parmesan were delicious (but still not so soft.) I will try these again to try to get softer sticks. Worth a try!
