About me: I live in Colorado and cook for my family; my husband, my 20-year-old daughter (who is in college), and my 18-year-old son (a VERY picky eater). I love cookbooks and have quite a collection but am always looking to add more. I have been known to take a cookbook to bed and read it before falling asleep. Lately, I have found myself getting a lot of recipes off the internet and not using my cookbooks much. I would like to change this. I am anxious for this site to take off (and it will) and for the volume of recipe reviews to grow. It is such a great idea!

Skillet Blueberry Cobbler from Weber's Real Grilling

Excellent. We did overcook it slightly on the grill but we just need to get better at grill baking! Served it to a group of 5 and everyone loved it. read more >

Burgundy Chicken with Mushrooms : page 227

Very good. I made a froze for my father after his surgery and he defrosted individual servings when he wanted it. Very good!

Chocolate-Berry Pie : page 582

Tasted good but didn't look very pretty.

Dilled Green Beans : page 412

These were very good. They tasted a whole lot better than they smelled. I thought that the dill was overwhelming whenever I checked the beans for doneness. But upon eating them there was much less dill flavor. It was just right.

Filet of Beef with Herbes de Provence : page 278

Worked for my dad after his heart surgery. He enjoyed it - I did not have any.

Orange Sweet Potatoes : page 456

I used fresh potatoes (not canned) and did not add the bitters. I thought that these were easy to prepare and tasty. You can really taste the citrus. I did not beat until fluffy because I prefer them 'lumpy' or rustic. I would definitely make again - maybe for the holidays.

Pattypan Squash with Apple-nut Stuffing : page 468

We tried this as a possible side for Thanksgiving for the members of our family that have restricted diets. It was very good. Very tasty. I thought it was missing just a little something (real butter?) but my husband loved and we will be serving it on Thanksgiving.

Scalloped Potatoes : page 451

Very good! Next time I would layer sauce and potatoes not just pour the liquid over the top - some potatoes were left dry with this method.
