A friend brought this to a dinner party at our house - it was a hit!

I made these for Christmas morning for our entire family - everyone loved them. I thought it looked like a lot of apples for the amount of batter to hold them together as I was assembling them - but they held up well.

From the items in the ingredients you would not think that these would be tasty - they are WONDERFUL and pretty good for you too. I served these for Christmas last year and everyone had more than one and several people asked me for the recipe!

Made for Christmas 2008. The smell is wonderful but surprisingly they don't taste a lot like eggnog - but were still very good.

My son makes these all of the time. They are a good basic peanut butter cookie.

I have made this twice - both times to rave reviews.

Wonderful! Next time I would add more broth or wine and less butter to make it have a little less fat. A friend made this also and she broiled instead of searing in a pan and added lemon zest and capers to sauce just before serving.

Very good. The sweet fruit was a nice complement to the couscous.

At Home with Michael Chiarello: Easy Entertaining
By Michael Chiarello, Karl Petzke
Chronicle Books - 2005
We do have the NapaStyle Cocorico roaster that we use to make this chicken. I am not one for many kitchen gadgets - but this is more than a gadget and worth the amount of space it takes in my cabinets. This chicken comes out wonderful with beautifully seasoned vegetables and potatoes. We have always used the Toasted Spice Rub instead of the Citrus Salt with our chicken - the house smells wonderfully while it is baking.

I have always used this with the Vertical Roasted Chicken Cocorico but it would be good in many dishes. I love making this - as the spices are toasted the entire house smells delicious. One recipe of this makes 1 cup you only need about 3 - 4 tablespoons per chicken. So you will have leftovers to make more chicken!

Autumn from the Heart of the Home

An excellent gingerbread cake. Very easy to throw together. I did not make the lemon sauce as we had this on Thanksgiving and we had enough already. But next time I will.

I made the pumpkins in the Halloween (Trick-or-Treat) series of cake pops. These are absolutely adorable but much more so when Bakerella makes them than me. I enjoyed making them and learned a lot and I think that the next attempt will be much more successful. I will watch the consistency of the cake when I'm mixing in the frosting (as she recommends) to make sure it stays sticky and not add too much cake. I had a very hard time finding the edible markers and had several that were dry (even though they were just purchased) so test your materials first! Learn from me!
I will definitely make them again and have filed all of her cute CUTE cake pops so I will have many different ones to chose from.

I made these for a group of 12 - everyone loved them. Just a mild blue cheese flavor. A nice light appetizer compared with what most appetizers seem to be. I used low-fat cream cheese and no way could you tell. I did add a pinch of cayenne and a pinch of garlic powder to spice it up a bit.
I made in cucumber cups instead of the recommended slices. Next time I may try the slices and the cups seemed to be too big.

Great base. This is the only Sweet Cream Base of the three that I have made - but it was very easy to do and tasty!

I made with the Sweet Cream Base on page 28. Excellent! I made the 'chunkier' version by pouring off the water and adding the strawberries to the base late in the freezing process. I made for a crowd and it was a hit!

I have made these twice now. The first time the pork chops were very tender but needed a little something. The second time they were much better!

I'm not a goulash person but my husband is and he loved this so I'm rating this for him. This was easy to make and had good flavor. I will make this again.

Bobby Flay's Boy Gets Grill: 125 Reasons to Light Your Fire!
By Bobby Flay, Gentl & Hyers, John Dolan, Julia Moskin
Scribner - 2004
My husband made this and substituted breasts for thighs. The meat was good. The sauce - oh my! That is hot HOT! It was too hot for me to eat at all but my husband and son loved it. I would give it a 1 and my family would give it a 5 - so it got a 3 star rating.

Excellent! This was our first time to grill pizza and this was excellent. We served it to 8 of us and we all loved it!!
05/2011 - I have since made this two more times and this pizza is great. My picky 17-year-old son requested it for his birthday dinner and another group of 8 loved it.
I have used the multi-grain pizza dough from Whole Foods for this and it works great. This recipe makes enough for two pizzas using that dough.

Very good. The jalapeno and grilled peach relish is awesome!

Great Sangria! Very easy to put together. Key is to let it sit for hours before drinking. We used apples, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, and nectarines and did not discard the fruit that had been sitting in the Sangria. Be careful - this is very potent stuff (especially the fruit)!

Bon Appetit
(November, 2010)
This was a beautiful dessert and pretty easy to make. We made it for Thanksgiving 2010 and it was the only dessert that was completely gone. I would recommend this.

We made this for Thanksgiving 2010 and it was wonderful. We heaped all 3 lbs of apples in our crust and had a huge pie that cooked down nicely. It did not make much of a mess in the oven at all. We will definitely make this again.

An excellent rich cake. LOTS of butter but for a birthday or special occasion it would be perfect. I made it for my husband's birthday and everyone liked it. The Fuji apples definitely kept their shape after being baked.

Delicious but makes a LOT!

These were delicious. I made with the Candied Orange Peel from page 91 and I had a lot more orange peel than I needed for these cookies. I ate it as it was delicious but could have done a half recipe and still been more than fine.

Very good I will definitely be making these again.

This made about 35 cookies. Mine were more like 'snow bumps' than 'snow balls' (thus the 3 rating) but the taste was good. I'm not sure if I would make again or not as they were not visually appealing.

Standard basic recipe - very good!

Good side dish and different than your typical sweet potato dishes. I would definitely make again.

Very good but I would use Sweet Paprika not Spicy Paprika next time. It was WAY too hot.

I used this marinade on vegetables only. It was great - would be good on chicken as it is intended.

A wonderful dish with great flavor. I have made this for the family for years and it is a big hit. I have also taken this to friends when bringing in meals - it always gets raves. Great for leftovers!

Very good. Very easy. Great to make and freeze or to bring to someone's house. A hit with children.

Wonderful. I like to make 2 round cake pans and bake at 300 for one hour.

I made with low-fat sour cream and low-fat cream cheese and they were still very good! Very light. A nice light dessert.
