Appetite for Reduction: 125 Fast and Filling Low-Fat Vegan Recipes
By Isa Chandra Moskowitz, Matthew Ruscigno
Da Capo Lifelong Books - 2010
Here's the list of typos

And here's what *I* think: Isa Chandra Moskowitz was my saving grace and first vegan cookbook purchase of Vegan With a Vengeance in 2006, when I was just a baby vegan. Her writing style and cooking style gave me the confidence to try things I'd have never considered, and for that alone, she is my hero.
With every subsequent Moskowitz cookbook, I am even more impressed, and this Appetite for Reduction is no exception to the rule.
There are PHOTOS! There are ICONS! The index is good! (And I have some that are inaccurate as all get out which is uber frustrating....) There are tips, Nutrition Tips, and basic bean cooking instructions for the uninitiated bean cook.
If you want to cut the fat, get dinner on the table in 30 minutes or less, and be entertained in the process, buy this book. Also buy a copy to loan out, because you'll rue the day you can't find yours to get at the Mango BBQ Beans recipe to go with your Cool Slaw.
Eat, Drink & Be Vegan: Everyday Vegan Recipes Worth Celebrating
By Dreena Burton
Arsenal Pulp Press - 2007
I LOVE this book. Yes, it is reliable, and has rapidly become my Go To for ideas.
A WHOLE chapter for hummus, gorgeous photos, readily available kid friendly ingredients - It's definitely worth the price.
I LOVE the white bean and walnut bruschetta. and the Mellow Yellow Sniffle Soup is good for when you have a cold, which is why I got this gem down from the shelf. Make the Potato Squashers!

The Indian Slow Cooker: 50 Healthy, Easy, Authentic Recipes
By Anupy Singla
Agate Surrey - 2010
This is like the Wiki for Indian legumes, spices, techniques, and the "how to eat an Indian meal like an Indian family" cookbook. The photos are gorgeous! The multiple languages make it easy for a Not so Ex-Pat like me to eat authentic Indian food while I read about my beloved "wish I could visit" country.
I just literally read it from cover to cover and learned SO much.
This is my go to for all Indian cooking from here on in. Every recipe looks remarkable, is adaptable to standard or small crockpots, has multiple suggestions for vegetarian or veganizing, and sure seems authentic.
BEST part - shows how to slow cook beans without SOAKING! I can come home from work to a meal all ready!! From dried to yum in a few hours!
