This is my "go too" book for baking when I need something reliable. I know if I want a specific dessert and there is a recipe for it in this book I will make it and bring the final product with me even though I haven't tested the recipe out. Everything I've made from this book has been amazing. The apple pie recipe and tips are wonderful!
Better Homes & Gardens New Cookbook: 11th Edition (Crime Line)
By BH&G Editors
Bantam - 1997
This book is so reliable and the recipes are easy to modify to your liking. This one will always be a staple on my shelf as a reference more than anything else. When I first started cooking and baking for myself over 15 years ago this book was my go too for everything. I trust the recipes and refer to it now when I want to check a general cooking time or to compare a few recipes which I'm going to experiment with.

This book was a gift and I am so thankful for it. The apple cake recipe is great but my favorite is the macaroon sandwich cookies, they are simply amazing. I will continue to explore the recipes in this book. It's also an easy and interesting read. I read it cover to cover and never lost interest.
