About me: I collect cookbooks and love to cook and try new recipes. I tested recipes for Leite's Culinaria for almost eight years. I learned to cook from many good southern cooks including my Mom, Dad, several Aunts and my Grandmothers. My children and husband also like to cook and try new foods and recipes. My son still lives with us but our daughter is married. She often visits to cook with me. We are adventuresome eaters willing to try new things.

Carolina-Style Barbecue Chicken : page 100

We loved this chicken. The sauce is so tasty, a bit tangy, a bit sweet but not too sweet, and a bit of heat, just a little. I did serve it with the suggested macaroni salad and sliced tomato. This is perfect for grilling season.

Mix and Match Pasta Salad : page 79

You can customize your own pasta salad by choosing a pasta, protein (optional), veggies, mix in and dressing. My daughter made us one with ridged elbows, left over grilled chicken, corn, onion, roasted red peppers, and creamy Parmesan dressing. It turned out great. The possibilities of some great pasta salads are immense with recipe.
