About me: I collect cookbooks and love to cook and try new recipes. I tested recipes for Leite's Culinaria for almost eight years. I learned to cook from many good southern cooks including my Mom, Dad, several Aunts and my Grandmothers. My children and husband also like to cook and try new foods and recipes. My son still lives with us but our daughter is married. She often visits to cook with me. We are adventuresome eaters willing to try new things.

Cheddar Bacon Onion Sliders

You could eat these as an appetizer but we had three each for our supper. They were very good. I actually forgot to put the bacon on my first one and it was still good. I choose Hawaiian rolls for my bread option. The only reason I didn't give these a 5 is son thought the rolls were a bit sweet for this type burger. We liked the cheddar on them and the fact that you toast the buns in the pan after your fry the burgers. Hubby and I enjoyed the cooked onions on ours but son didn't want any on his. I used grape tomatoes and we rounded they out with purple lettuce and purple onion. I used vadialias for the cooked onions. We served them with a baby dill pickle on the side.
