About me: I collect cookbooks and love to cook and try new recipes. I tested recipes for Leite's Culinaria for almost eight years. I learned to cook from many good southern cooks including my Mom, Dad, several Aunts and my Grandmothers. My children and husband also like to cook and try new foods and recipes. My son still lives with us but our daughter is married. She often visits to cook with me. We are adventuresome eaters willing to try new things.

Cherry Tomato Pie : page 146

This was a very good version of tomato pie. Not sure it really needed a double crust on the bottom but I did it anyway as that is what it said. I used some orange cherry tomatoes I picked at a neighbours house. They look yellow in my picture after they were cooked but were orange when I picked them. I liked the combination of cream cheese, basil, mayonnaise, Parmesan, sweet onion and lemon peel along with the bacon and tomatoes.
