About me: I collect cookbooks and love to cook and try new recipes. I tested recipes for Leite's Culinaria for almost eight years. I learned to cook from many good southern cooks including my Mom, Dad, several Aunts and my Grandmothers. My children and husband also like to cook and try new foods and recipes. My son still lives with us but our daughter is married. She often visits to cook with me. We are adventuresome eaters willing to try new things.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que: An American Roadhouse

By John Stage, Nancy Radke, James Scherzi
Ten Speed Press - 2001

I made this one with ground turkey instead of beef so my daughter could eat with us. We though it was great. We love trying new ways with Mac and Cheese and we also enjoy Shepherd's Pie in many variations so this was a big hit.

Mutha Sauce : page 165

I made this to go in the Shepherd's Pie Mac and cheese. Since the recipe makes such a large quantity I made only a quarter recipe and still got a pint. I hope to use the leftover on some ribs. It was delicious in the mac and cheese and also I drizzled a bit on some pepperoni pizza a few days later. I love BBQ sauce on my pizza and this was great.
