About me: I collect cookbooks and love to cook and try new recipes. I tested recipes for Leite's Culinaria for almost eight years. I learned to cook from many good southern cooks including my Mom, Dad, several Aunts and my Grandmothers. My children and husband also like to cook and try new foods and recipes. My son still lives with us but our daughter is married. She often visits to cook with me. We are adventuresome eaters willing to try new things.

Cajun Sliders : page 114

I really enjoyed these. Son and hubby liked them too but hubby only wanted mayo and tomato on his. Son wanted the mix of mayo and spicy brown mustard that Bobby suggests but didn't want the broiled onion and bell pepper. They both wanted cheese added.

Jack's Corn Chowder : page 28

I like that the soup is thickened with a potato and low fat milk that has been processed in the food processor. This is a very tasty soup. I used frozen corn. I forgot to add in my jalapeno but will try to remember next time since I think it would add a nice touch.

The Son's Baked Spaghetti : page 87

Son and I really enjoyed this one. I made the sauce which takes almost an hour on Sunday and put the casserole together and put in the fridge. Then when I got home from work on Monday. I popped it in the oven for 30 minutes and then topped with the final cheese and baked for 10 more minutes. Made a salad and supper was ready.
