About me: I collect cookbooks and love to cook and try new recipes. I tested recipes for Leite's Culinaria for almost eight years. I learned to cook from many good southern cooks including my Mom, Dad, several Aunts and my Grandmothers. My children and husband also like to cook and try new foods and recipes. My son still lives with us but our daughter is married. She often visits to cook with me. We are adventuresome eaters willing to try new things.

Family-Favorite Chili Mac : page 48

Usually when I make chili mac I don't bother with a recipe but decided to try this one and daughter and I really enjoyed it. Even though the book is called one dish meals this one took two. Still it was quick and easy and a great meal for a cold night.

Grandma's Baked Mac + Cheese : page 32

Another recipe hubby, son and I agree was delicious. How can you go wrong with Velveeta and Sharp Cheddar. Bread crumb topping was toasted in butter before sprinkling on top. This one called for large elbows which I found. I did only make a half recipe since the whole recipe says it serves 25 to 30. The three of us ate about half of a half recipe, but that's all we had for our supper.

Lucky 7 Mac and Cheese : page 120

While this is considered a side I could also eat it as the main coarse. This one includes 7 kinds of cheese, extra sharp cheddar, Velveeta, Swiss, Monterey jack, Provolone, and Blue Cheese. The sauce is made of only the cheeses and some milk. Quiet good.
