About me: I collect cookbooks and love to cook and try new recipes. I tested recipes for Leite's Culinaria for almost eight years. I learned to cook from many good southern cooks including my Mom, Dad, several Aunts and my Grandmothers. My children and husband also like to cook and try new foods and recipes. My son still lives with us but our daughter is married. She often visits to cook with me. We are adventuresome eaters willing to try new things.

Bobby Flay's Burgers, Fries, and Shakes

Barbecue Seasoning : page 117

This mixture was good on the oven fries page 92 but I'd leave the salt out of the fry part as it was a bit to salty for my tastes. The recipe suggests using on the oven fries or the homemade potato chips in this book. If you like BBQ flavored potato chips you'd enjoy this recipe on your chips or fries.

Oven-Roasted Fries : page 92

These were very good. They were a bit salty though with the BBQ seasoning mix from page 117. Next time I would omit the salt from the the recipe if using one of the seasoning mixes. They did have wonderful texture, crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Son didn't think they had too much salt but he's a salt lover.
