About me: I collect cookbooks and love to cook and try new recipes. I tested recipes for Leite's Culinaria for almost eight years. I learned to cook from many good southern cooks including my Mom, Dad, several Aunts and my Grandmothers. My children and husband also like to cook and try new foods and recipes. My son still lives with us but our daughter is married. She often visits to cook with me. We are adventuresome eaters willing to try new things.

Cooking From the Hip: Fast, Easy, Phenomenal Meals

By Cat Cora, Ann Krueger Spivack

I found some ground lamb for a really good price and decided to try these for my son and I. My son loves lamb. These burgers were wonderful. They are loaded with flavors from the kalamata olives to the feta cheese. They stayed together well with the addition of both onions and scallions and bread crumbs. The olives and feta helped them stay together as well. The sauce made from Greek yogurt and minced garlic was a perfect accompaniment to this burger. I did eat mine on an onion bun as suggested but since son doesn't like onion buns he ate his on a sesame bun. Hubby wouldn't touch them. He says he doesn't eat lamb.
