While I used clementines instead of lemons, I used this method and it was the easiest marmalade ever. As I am planning to use it fairly soon to fill some little pastries, I didn't can mine , but just stored my two jar in the fridge. The boiling of the whole fruit is so cool--when I sliced the clementines in half, I was able to scoop the insides out with a teaspoon--popped right out. I'm looking forward to doing this with lemons.
