Easy Cheesy Chili Chicken from Eating Stella Style: Low-Carb Recipes for Healthy Living

My husband enjoyed this a lot. It was easy enough for a weeknight, but I will have to tweak the seasonings some, as it was just a bit too salty for my tastes. read more >

Cheese Bread : page 71

This bread looks, smells and tastes just like heaven. What a way to combine two of my favorite things into one. So far, this is my favorite recipe from the book.

Focaccia : page 141

This was not successful at all for me. I don't know what I don't wrong, but I ended up having to throw the batch away because it was inedible.

Frittata Patate : page 170

A basic frittata, with very thin pan-fried potatoes. I usually start my frittatas on the stove top and then finish them in the oven, rather than cooking them entirely in the oven, as suggested here.

Pizza Pomodoro : page 120

This was a nice, light sauce that I think is a good match for homemade pizza crust. I just had to add some cheese, though (fresh mozzarella).

Stecca : page 77

This is supposed to be for a sandwich bread. I liked it, although mine turned out more like very long bread sticks. I froze some of the dough for later baking, but that effort failed utterly. Next time I might try freezing the baked bread, because these loaves go stale very quickly, and the recipe makes 4.

Whole Wheat Bread : page 61

I totally messed up this recipe and it still turned out pretty good, which just goes to show how forgiving the recipes in this book are.
