This is a nice change from the usual cinnamon spiced banana bread. I used half fresh ground and 1/2 jarred ground cardamom, but wish I used all freshly ground (for more intense flavor). This is a moist, banana forward bread using 4 bananas, and delicately spiced with cardamom. I did sub about 1/3 to 1/2 cup of the AP with whole wheat flour. Don't skip the sugar on top - it makes a wonderful thin, crisp crust.
