Fun and dramatic!
This drink makes use of basil seeds, which are dark tiny brown seeds that when soaked, swell up 1000-fold and look for all the world like frog's eggs.
In this drink, raspberry, milk, and a bit of honey are blended up (I used frozen raspberries), and then soaked basil seeds were added.
This drink was a bit like baby boba - small gelatinous orbs - but these fit through a regular straw and require no pre-cooking. If you have a foodie friend who likes to try different things, then this is a good choice.

I'm going to have to find me some of those basil seeds!
The drink sounds delicious.

They are really inexpensive in the asian store. I had been looking for chia seeds - which do the same sort of thing.
To see them expand right before your eyes is truly amazing.
