About me: I like to cook, but I'm slightly limited by a tiny kitchen and a husband who is not adventurous when it comes to eating. We went vegetarian during the Summer of 2009 (see Food, Inc.). My favorite recipes are ones that allow for improvisation, however, I love to bake, too!

The Winter Vegetarian: A Warm and Versatile Bounty

A good book if you have a root cellar full of rutabagas. To be honest, I only bought this book because it had a recipe for Pulla, or Finnish coffee bread. Little did I know that this recipe is the closest thing to my grandmother's, who never wrote it down. It's really good. You may want to make two batches.
