Frauke Koops’ “Salads” is a vivacious and dramatically colourful cookbook. The 52 featured recipes are presented according to level of difficulty: easy first, followed by intermediate, and finally, difficult. The preparation time for each salad is also noted, ranging from 15, 25, 35, or 45 minutes. Weights and measures are given in both metric and Imperial systems. Ingredient lists and instructions are clearly presented, along with numerous tips allowing for variations of ingredients and presentation.
All the photographs throughout the book are in colour and are quite stunning. Photographer Gunter Beer has created remarkable photos for each salad, always a big plus when working with new recipes in the kitchen.
“Salads” is a good go-to cookbook if you’re looking for inspiration in putting something deliciously different on the table.
