10,000 reviews and counting!
Congratulations, Andrew! You put a lot of hard work into this, and I'm really glad there's such a good resource like cookbooker. My cooking has changed enormously since I've become a member!

Quezzle Sister: Whatever helps you to find recipes when you need them... eg. I recently began tagging recipes 'egg whites' or 'egg yolks', depending which of the two they use. That way, whenever I have a few egg whites left over …

New Challenge: Summer Grilling
I can also recommend a grill pan. Ikea has a good (and cheap) one. Just remember to clean it immedeately after use, while its still hot.

Really cool, Andrew! I don't know how many tags I've already added, but I love seeing how my reviews connect via shared tags. Love it! Would love to see it on indexed recipes too, as soon as you have the time...

I think I know what happened. When you've edited an ingredient, you need to press Enter, not just click anywhere. At least that's what happened to me once. @Leeka, does that solve your problem? Andrew, would it be possible to add another …

I've actually started to tag indexed books (both self-indexed and others) as 'indexed' - anyone else want to join?

Wow, that was quick! And nicely done! Would it be easy to do the same thing whenever a link is entered? And I'm wondering (but we might have discussed this earlier) whether it might make sense to distinguish between a link to the online versio…

I've also started recently to index a few cookbooks, and I'll certainly also start to add the ingredients to recipes, probably starting with those with a 5 star review, or those I want to cook soon. Maybe we could make a list of cookbooks …

Cool, thank you! Now if only I would remember the reviews I wanted to comment on... Could you add a tiny function to the ingredients tab - an (x) or something like that (maybe (y) for 'yes'?) to indicate that ingredients have been added, …

@ Oh, actually I think the green plus icon is quite nice! But that only applies to book search results, not recipe search results. What I actuall meant is that that same plus icon/book icon system is applied to the recipe search results as well. Lo…

I own Culinary Artistry too - also because I wanted to use it as a basis for something similar to what they did on foodpairing.be, but gave up halfway through - it was soo much typing! @Sieburp, that does make sense. Soy sauce is also umami, just …

@LL, you are absolutely right that precise measurements often don't matter. I made a rhubarb crumble recently, though, that turned out much too soggy; but maybe that was because no cornstarch or flour was added to take up the liquid? Re: poato…

White Asparagus
Well, prosciutto was a good idea :) I've never had grilled asparagus - how was that? Did he blanch the asparagus before grilling it? And did he peel it? Cooked white asparagus can hold up against prosciutto, grilled might be different.

Definitely peel the white asparagus! Unpeeled white asparagus has the consistency of straw, not recommended. I usually peel with a normal vegetable peeler. And cut the lower ends, about 1 cm (0.4 inch). Cook for about 10 min in salted water (check a…

For the print screens: What would be the ideal ratio between height en width? Many blogs have large white (or, err, grey :) ) borders that could be clipped to increase perceptibility. One example is Smitten Kitchen. By the way, would Smitten Kitchen…
