I absolutely love this recipe and have been making it for years. I brought it into work for a potluck, and everyone said it was the best tortilla soup they've ever had. The only change I make to the recipe is a reduction in the amount of oil called for; I find all the other seasonings to be spot on. If you're a fan of Tortilla Soup, I highly recommend you try this one!

Thanks for the review. :) Funny thing, in groups around the web where folks chat about cookbooks and recipes, over a period of about 17 years that I've been addicted to cookbooks... I believe this book's recipes have rec'd more happy reviews from people who MAKE the recipes and review them, than from any other cookbook (except perhaps Rebar). (Ok, so many of the reviews I read are at the Cooking Light forum...but still...that's where many people who COOK hangout and talk recipes. But I've also seen raves about Stop & Smell recipes in various recipe sharing Yahoo groups that I belong to.) A winner of a cookbook, I'd say--for folks who are looking for a sure thing!
