Flavors of Belize

By Tanya McNab

After visiting the small Caribbean country of Belize, I fell in love with their food! I was pretty upset to see there wasn't any 'great' cookbooks that contained all the recipes I loved! I recently stumbled across a website advertising the Flavors of Belize (www.flavorsofbelize.com). I was overjoyed to find a cookbook full of Belizean recipes! The book not only has my favorite dishes, but contains information about the culture that inspired the food. From the simple staple of 'rice and beans' with stewed chicken, to mayan baked fish, this cookbook has something for everyone!

Although some of the ingredients are very unique to the area, the book lists alternatives that can be found in all grocery stores. The pictures inspire you to cook, and the recipes are accurate and easy to follow.

I highly recommend this book for any cook at any level! There are over 120 recipes and you will not be disappointed.

In a world full of the same things, this unique book will not disappoint.
