This recipe is really fabulous - I've made it multiple times, and that doesn't often happen. It's easy and delicious. I use water and a broth powder (Vogue Vege Base - 1T) instead of a prepared broth. I also make it a little easier by using a potato or two to thicken it instead of messing around with arrowroot powder. Fresh basil is important, as is either the pine nuts, or another toasted nut or seed, like slivered almonds or pumpkin seeds. I blend it all with an immersion blender, and then add the nuts or seeds, and a can of white beans to increase the protein. Really delicious!
