My husband gives this dish a five, I say three and my daughter says zero because of the spice level - LOL. I cut the 1/2 tsp of cayenne in half and it was still plenty hot enough for me. This is a fairly simple dish to prepare once all the slicing prep is done.

Oooh, is this a new cookbook? I've been eyeballing this for a while now. Can't wait to see what else you cook!

I borrowed it from the library. I'd like very much to own it though!

I love using the library''s cookbook collection, too! But it does activate that desire to own more books.

I'm bad about not using the library for cookbooks. I like owning them, but they are expensive...such a dilema! Although ever since my Grandma figured out what a vegan is she has been sniping me vegan cookbooks from the library sales that she volunteers for. Best of both worlds!

Haha, that's really cute. How lucky are you to have such a wonderful grandma. I don't think I've ever seen a vegan cookbook at a library sale.

I keep looking for a bargain used veganomicon or color me vegan (your reviews are so amazing) - no luck yet. With 2 kids headed to college soon, I'm really careful about my expenditures. But boy do I like a cookbook!

QS, I hear you about being careful. I haven't been able to buy anything since last Christmas so I hit the library every week. Fortunately they have a pretty good selection of vegan and other cookbooks. Color Me Vegan is a great book and Jayme seems to be enjoying it too. She always picks quite different recipes than I do so it's really helpful. There are so many new cookbooks being published all the time that I wish I could get my greedy little hands on.
