My grandfather had the original recipe from a little booklet attached to a bottle of Galliano liqueur and this is the same recipe. This was his go-to cake for family gatherings and such and became mine later on. It's such a good, moist cake, but it is very, very sweet. I use French Vanilla flavored pudding in it just for kicks. And I try different flavors of Absolut to see if that has any affect on the flavor (not really!). Whenever I took this cake to work, it was always a big hit. The only problem now is that the Orange cake mix is getting more and more difficult to find and one of these days, it just won't be around. If you want to try this cake, you may have to go to Hometown Favorites' website or Amazon to get it. It's worth it!
