Even son and hubby loved these. This is a healthier version of Philly Cheese steaks which are lightened up by using only a fraction of the oil to sauté the red onions, some portobello mushrooms instead of all meat, as well as using a leaner cut of steak.

They also use whole grain baguette's but I couldn't find those so I used smaller sub rolls and scooped out some of the inside bread. I also used only one slice of Provolone for each sandwich instead of the 6 slices suggested for 4 people.

Once you build your sandwich it's slid under the broiler to melt the cheese and toast the bread a bit. I'll be making these again.
