I took one bite of this cake and all I could think of was Wow this is delicious. This cake is super moist from the buttermilk, rum and mashed banana and gets loads of extra flavor from the spices. Then there's the icing. Who knew browning butter could lend some richness and flavor to icing. The little bit of heavy cream whips up into a fluffy icing and the rum gives it that extra kick. This one isn't for the faint of heart as I'm sure it's loaded with calories but for an occasional treat it's sure to satisfy.
