I've eaten creamed corn all my life but never made it by myself. My Mom always made it. Since my Mom is no longer able to cook and can't remember how she made things I knew I should be able to find a good creamed corn recipe in this book since a copy of this book was the first cookbook my Mom ever owned and still has. I was right and this turned out easy and great.

The recipes in this book are numbered and in making the creamed corn you are referred to two other recipes, one for stewed corn and one for white sauce.
