I found this recipe through a recommendation on Orangette and loved the cake so much I immediately ordered the book. This is a wonderful pound cake. It is moist and tender with an amazing crunchy sweet top crust. As tempting as it was to add flavoring (almond extract, lemon rind), I resisted and made the recipe exactly as written. It's so easy to make. I used my stand mixer and was careful to give adequate time to beating the butter/cream cheese and then again to the butter/cream cheese/sugar and to the added eggs.
