An interesting idea to make up a big batch of cookie dough that can be used to make a reasonable number of cookies when you need them.

I made up a quarter batch of the cookie mix with butterscotch morsels and froze this in two lumps. Butterscotch morsels being fairly disgusting (sweet and artificial flavoring), I wouldn't consider doing this again. Some good chocolate chips are another matter.

Per the instructions, a full recipe of cookies (made from one quarter of the cookie mix) should make 2-1/2 dozen large cookies. The half recipe of cookies that I made yielded 6 bigger cookies and 18 smaller ones. Flattening the (rather stiff) dough as suggested was pointless, since the cookies got fairly thin as they cooked; it wasn't possible to tell the flattened from the unflattened ones. The smaller cookies, made from a walnut-sized lump of dough were a better size. There probably would have been 2-1/2 dozen of these, which is twice what there should have been.

It could be quite useful to have some batches of this cookie mix in the freezer for when you need a cookie fix.
