Definitely a new winter favourite. I had chestnuts that needed using, so used them instead of walnuts. It's hard to imagine that it could have been better without them.

Maggie says she uses this pastry 99/100 times, so it ought to be good. At my first attempt (not being a natural with pastry!) I pulsed it too long past the "resembles course breadcrumbs" stage, so that when I added the sour cream it formed more of a sludge...

Bread and butter pudding reviewed by Eurydice

Ingredients include Maggie's signature verjuice and also prunes and dried apricots. I left the crusts on the bread, and can't see why she said to cut them off. None was left for another day at our place.
