Saw a reference to tomato soup cake in a mystery book. Sure enough--a good recipe in the Joy. This cake is surprisingly good. Certainly simple. Tastes like old-fashioned spice cake. read more >

Never thought I would use bacon fat as an ingredient, but these cookies are terrific. I rolled the dough in two logs, chilled, cut thin slices. worked fine!
