Saw a reference to tomato soup cake in a mystery book. Sure enough--a good recipe in the Joy. This cake is surprisingly good. Certainly simple. Tastes like old-fashioned spice cake.

This is the classic recipe, but I think it could use some updating. I cut the marshmallows, added grapes, used unsweetened coconut and cut back on the sugar.
