My parents were both in Russian studies and I grew up around foods from the former Soviet Union as well as traveled throughout. My family has adopted this cookbook as our "family cookbook" -- my mom, my sister, and myself. When my brother got married, we bought the happy couple a copy. While we have all had copies for at least 15 years, it is still used. My copy is getting in pretty bad shape -- pages stained, binding starting to loosen . . . Highly recommend it!
