Since it's still snowy and cold here today I decided to make some of Christy Jorden's BBQ Joint Stew from her blog. She suggests using your favorite BBQ sauce or this recipe from her book.

I didn't have the suggested Golden Eagle or Yellow Label Syrups so I used her substitution of using light corn syrup and honey. Unfortunately I had already started mixing up everything when I realized I didn't have but about a 1/4 cup of the light syrup instead of the 1/2 cup called for so I just increased the honey to make up the difference.

Not sure if this is what caused it or not but this BBQ sauce is a bit sweeter then I care for. It's still good though and I added the called for amount into my stew. Will be tasting that later.
