I am a cheerleader for Team Grapefruit -- I love the stuff and always look for ways to use it beyond the breakfast table. This sorbet is a snap to make, very grapefruity, is a lovely pink color, and has a sweet-tart flavor followed up by a slight peppery kick. It's unusual and appealing. It's light and refreshing. But I am not sure everyone would love it as dessert.

If you are the sort of person who throws elegant dinner parties (I'm not but kind of wish I were), this sorbet -- minus the pepper, would make an excellent palate cleanser between courses.
