About the easiest/best way to make green beans I've found. Even DH said they were great.

Lacking a microwave, I steamed then gbs first. Then they are pan roasted in a very hot (cast iron) skillet. Really nice.

Think you could do the pre-cooking early on and finish at the last minute when other things are getting done. Doesn't take non-stop attention.
