Tasted a little bit like a lemon bar- bright and sweet and tangy. I was a little nervous about it being to tart or too bitter, based on the blog entry. In fact, it was very, VERY sweet. Might have been due to the fact that I let my lemons marinate in the sugar for more like 36 hours.

I wish I could give this recipe a ten. Or gold stars. Or something. This recipe is so good, I am jealous of it: I'm pretty sure my otherwise wonderful boyfriend likes it more than he likes me. :)

Super easy and tasty. More 'complicated' versions aren't that much more work, though, and I enjoy them more. Also, maybe it had to do with the tomatoes I used, but my sauce came out more orange than red.

Absolutely delicious. A simple but impressive-looking and -tasting crowd-pleaser. Studio apartment owners beware: if you haven't ever used real vanilla bean before, you may be surprised to find, as I did, that the fragrance is a little too strong for a small space. Opening a window is highly suggested, as is doing your prep work well before any guests arrive.
