About me: I collect cookbooks and love to cook and try new recipes. I tested recipes for Leite's Culinaria for almost eight years. I learned to cook from many good southern cooks including my Mom, Dad, several Aunts and my Grandmothers. My children and husband also like to cook and try new foods and recipes. My son still lives with us but our daughter is married. She often visits to cook with me. We are adventuresome eaters willing to try new things.

Glazed Meatloaf : page 68

This was an easy but delicious meatloaf. You just add some Dijon mustard to the meat mixture from page 66. Then you top it with ketchup and Worcestershire. Even though it's a simple recipe it was packed with flavor. It also makes great meatloaf sandwiches with the leftovers.

Ground Meat Mix : page 66

You can make a batch of this and use it to make two more recipes from the article in this magazine. I choose to only make a half recipe and make the meatloaf. The meat loaf ends up with a nice texture since you puree the onion and garlic with an egg for the meat mixture. Also you soak bread crumbs in some milk before adding it to the mixture. I may have to try some of the other recipes that are listed using this mixture since we enjoyed the meatloaf.
