About me: I collect cookbooks and love to cook and try new recipes. I tested recipes for Leite's Culinaria for almost eight years. I learned to cook from many good southern cooks including my Mom, Dad, several Aunts and my Grandmothers. My children and husband also like to cook and try new foods and recipes. My son still lives with us but our daughter is married. She often visits to cook with me. We are adventuresome eaters willing to try new things.

Georgia Bacon and Eggs with Hominy : page 66

I made this for hubby and I for our supper the other night. We both enjoy hominy and this was a delicious way to serve hominy. Great for breakfast, lunch or supper in my opinion.

Tar Heel Sweet Potato Omelette : page 63

This was so good and I love the fact it's named after my home state of NC,The Tarheel State. I will definitely be making this one again. I just did half recipe for myself. I didn't have the chives called for but I had some green onions and used some of the green instead of the chives.
