Current Cottage Cheese Pancakes : page 24
Hubby and I loved these although instead of a squeeze of lemon juice he opted for maple syrup on his. I used golden raisins instead of currents which was an option in the recipe (raisins). Currents are a little hard for me to find here.

Deviled Eggs : page 35
This recipe is from Virgina Willis. While deviled eggs are usually considered an appetizer we had them as part of our supper. They were quiet good. For the herbs I used chives.

Fried Eggs with Wine Vinegar : page 2
I agree this is a genius recipe. Love vinegar in devilled eggs and now also on eggs over easy. You actually cook the vinegar after frying the eggs and reduce it by half then drizzle over the eggs. Love it!

Garlic Green Beans : page 179
This recipe is from Penelope Casas. While I though these were very good hubby didn't care for them. Simple recipe - green beans, butter, garlic and salt.

Grilled Pork Burgers : page 122
I choose not to do the entire experience and skipped the Aioli and Romesco. I hope to try them again with the whole nine yards. We loved them although son-in-law found them a bit spicy. He manned the grill though and did them perfectly.

Meatballs : page 131
These were really wonderful meatballs but I think the ones I usually make are equally wonderful in their own way. I ended up with 60 small meatballs. The recipe says it makes about 28 2 1/2 to 3 inch meatballs. Not sure what size my meatball scoop is. These meatballs are from Rao's. I served them with the Butter and Onion sauce from page 151.

Potato Scallion Cakes : page 23
This recipe is from Bert Greene. While this was in the breakfast section I made it for part of our supper. My family loves my potato cakes I usually make with leftover mashed potatoes and these were a bit similar. I use flour in mine and this recipe calls for fresh bread crumbs (nice touch). I usually chop up some form of onion in mine, this one uses green onions that have been boiled for a few minutes before chopping and adding to the mixture. We enjoyed this version as well.

Strawberry Lemon Sorbet : page 200
I was a little afraid of grinding up a whole lemon with sugar to add to this recipe but it was an amazing sorbet. My great niece helped me make this one. Simple and not many ingredients for an awesome sorbet. The hardest part was waiting for the ice cream maker to finish it's business.

Tomato Sauce with Butter & Onions : page 151
This recipe is from Marcella Hazan and was quiet delicious. I was amazed I enjoyed it as much as I did since it had no garlic or Italian seasoning in it. You remove the onion before adding it to your pasta but I enjoyed the onion as well. Served it over angel hair pasta with the Rao's Meatballs from page 131

Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies : page 229
A little healthier version of chocolate chip and oh so delicious warm from the oven and almost as good when completely cooled.
