Cabbage, Ham, Potato, and Pea Soup : page 82

This is a quick soup, and I perhaps should not review it as I did deviate. My daughter recently decided to become vegetarian, and so at the last minute, I prepared this but with no meat. Without the bacon/ham, garlic became the dominant flavor. Nevertheless, it was a delightful mixture of fresh vegetables, and seemed spring-like on this dark and wintery day.
