The concept here is to make a bloody eyeball dessert. Great concept (go look at the link) but I couldn't replicate.

A delicious panna cotta is made by toasting coconut, cooking it with whole milk and coconut milk, sugar, salt, and gelatin.

Here is where I made my first mistake, It appears that you are to pour the panna cotta around the kiwi, but I instead poured it into my 1/2C bowls.

I refrigerated it overnight, but it didn't unmold as a hemisphere. I did take the author's advice and decreased gelatin by 1/8 tsp - so my advice is Don't!

I just sliced the kiwi, added the raisin pupils. The recipe also specified preparing a lens for your eye from gelatin, lime juice, etc, molding them in cupcake cups. I was somewhat horrified to find that the lenses soaked up blue dye from my cupcake cups, and they didn't unmold at all.

The panna cotta was delicious, though, and a good match with the raspberries.
