Surprisingly good for a very low fat and low sugar dessert. Prunes are processed with cocoa and coconut, formed into balls (around an almond or not), and rolled in a mix of powdered sugar and cocoa. An option is to make a chocolate decoration on the top.

I found the instructions to be good, the mixture formed a sticky blob just as the instructions said (made easy with the food processor). We liked them more without the almond, and so prepared most that way. The one problem I did encounter was that chocolate doesn't stick to a layer of powdered sugar and cocoa! So - if you plan to decorate (and I would recommend that - it helps make it a bit more dessert-like) - you might want to go easy on the powdered sugar.

If you eat this thinking it will taste like almond joy, you are likely to be disappointed. But if instead you think its some interesting vegan dessert, you will likely be pleasantly surprised.
