Fabluous caramel flavor, with a rich pastry topping. This was the final course for our cookbook club meeting for March 2012. The pastry was difficult to handle, the apples were fussy to brown, but it all came together as an amazing dish at the end. The tangy cream topping (whipped cream and sour cream, unsweetened) was a perfect complement.
