I love citrus flavors in the cold months and these cookies are a very nice treat on a wintry day.

These are delicious. I made the cherry - vanilla variation for out-of-town guests and everyone loved them. A really nice morning treat -- perfect for Christmas morning or any lazy winter Sunday, accompanied by coffee/tea and the morning papers.
