I used 2% milk instead of whole. It seemed to work just fine. This casserole is labor intensive. The directions suggest a 5 minutes prep time. It is more like 20 minutes.

These were very good but really we thought too big at a 1/2 pound each. Next time I'd make 8 meatballs instead of 4. I liked that they are cooked in oven and also the nice surprise of a mini mozzarella ball in the center of each. We also enjoyed the addition...
