Son and I enjoyed this one but hubby didn't like it. He does like another beef and barley stew I make with mushrooms. This one had potatoes, carrots and onions along with Guinness.

The bread was very dense and heavy. I made it for a friend's Irish-born mother who wanted the'real' thing. This wasn't it. The flavor wasn't bad but it was just too too heavy.
