The soup itself is really tasty. I had some difficulty with the pecans, though. They didn't quite get as crispy as I would have liked. Rather than toasting in a skillet, I'm thinking next time I'll try doing them in the oven instead.

I use this gravy on fried pork chops. It's great on mashed potatoes, chicken fried steak, chicken fried chicken, and anything else you might use brown gravy on. A Southern staple!
