About me: I collect cookbooks and love to cook and try new recipes. I tested recipes for Leite's Culinaria for almost eight years. I learned to cook from many good southern cooks including my Mom, Dad, several Aunts and my Grandmothers. My children and husband also like to cook and try new foods and recipes. My son still lives with us but our daughter is married. She often visits to cook with me. We are adventuresome eaters willing to try new things.

Diane's Gap Mountain Anadama Bread : page 165

We really liked this bread. I decided to make it today since I have more time and this one takes awhile to rise before baking. My sister, daughter and I ate some BBQ on it for supper and it tasted great with the BBQ. Harold ate some by itself and he enjoyed it too. It suggested you use it for egg salad sandwiches so I may try that as well. It makes two loaves of bread.

Sylvia's Ozark Cornbread : page 18

We liked this cornbread. It differs in the one I usually make and we do like mine better but this one was still good. It doesn't have any flour in it and we do like it with a little four. No sugar and we prefer that. I also like that it has buttermilk which is how we also prefer it.
